Otovo is the market leader for solar panel installations in consumers’ homes in Europe. Based out in Oslo, Norway, we have set out to change how we consume energy in our homes, through a better, cleaner, cheaper solution: photovoltaic solar panels. Learn more about Otovo here.

Otovo has built a marketplace and proprietary tools which allows customers to quickly obtain a turnkey budget for a solar installation in their home, while providing hundreds of installers around Spain and all the markets we are in work to bid and price their services for such projects. Through the use of our technology, we bring customers and installers together, efficiently and effectively, to make solar more affordable and simple to everyone.

What you'll do?

We are digital company, however we provide extensive support to our customers via e-mail and pursuing administrative tasks for them. This role entails helping the project and sales team sort through their requests for help and obtain the necessary documentation for our clients in their municipalities. All the work is on the phone or via e-mail.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Answer promptly customer requests and questions, SLA´are key to our customers satisfaction!

  • Pursue administrative documentation for installations and interact on the phone with a large number of city halls and municipalities.

  • The work will be fast paced, with a ot of quick paced interactions, and the ability to keep track of all of them is critical.

  • Support our sales and ops teams in delivering great service.

  • You are expected to draw heavily on strongly on communication and organization skills, as well as an ability to keep a large number of conversations and tasks moving forward with the operations team.

In time, and with the company’s growth in Spain, you will have the chance to help us select, train and manage a team with similar responsibilities as you on day one, so we also will look for your abilities in leading teams and managing people as you grow into your role.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for: requirements

We don’t expect you to be a solar expert — we’ll teach you! What we do look for:

  • You speak one of these languages natively: German.

  • Basic knowledge of English to coordinate with other Otovo teams internationally;

  • You’ve got 1–2 years of experience in customer service or admin

  • You’re organized, proactive, and thrive in fast-moving environments

  • You're confident picking up the phone and dealing with different people

  • You're based in Madrid and open to hybrid work

  • You speak basic English to connect with our international team.

  • Client-oriented is a must.

  • Other languages will be valued

  • Enjoy being a team player: expect to give and learn from your colleagues;

  • Administrative background preferred, knowledge of solar energy or electricity is a plus but not required.


Bonus points if you:

  • Have worked with Zendesk, Hubspot, or similar tools

  • Have dealt with city halls or public institutions

  • Know a thing or two about solar (not required!)
